Hi there, I’m Stephanie! At a young age, 8th grade (1998 to be exact, hahahaha, yes I’m aging myself!) we had to say what we wanted to be when we grew up for, you know, the graduation slideshow and I had envisioned this dream of becoming a National Geographic photographer. While that is still a dream that I’m working towards, I got a bit, oh let’s say…sidetracked.
Why Munchkin Moments?
Being a veteran momma, I know many moments are small, but so BIG at the same time. I feel like we’ve been conditioned to enjoy the newborn stage for just a moment, because it’s literally just a moment. Soon they are 1 month old and off to 3k, 4k, 5k and their backpacks are bigger than them! Okay, that’s an exaggeration, but…okay…I’m not crying, you’re crying…but seriously…I’m crying – the crooked baby teeth smile that disappears the second they lose their first tooth, the lisp they used to have (I yuve you turns into — I love you) and those big ‘ol baby cheeks — oh the baby cheeks — and I’m still crying, maybe even a little bit more than before…sigh.
I realized the fleeting moments all too quickly with my own life experience, and from that – Munchkin Moments was formed. Since then, I’ve attended multiple workshops and what an honor it is to pass along my knowledge into your portraits. Seeing my work displayed in my clients’ homes, warms my heart so much and I am beyond humbled when I see pictures I’ve taken displayed on their walls.
The name you ask? Well, my dad called me Munchkin when I was little and sometimes still to this day he still calls me his little munchkin. Speaking of family, I’m a momma to 3 beautiful girls and nominee for ‘Mom of the Year’ – 19 years running
I look forward to welcoming you into the Munchkin Moments family
an image of my daughter’s middle school graduation [you know, the one where I decided to be a photographer 25 years ago?, wowza, it’s been a minute, lol! – same school too!]
